New backup and sync options for EPIM Cloud

EPIM Cloud has been added to the online services for backing up your database (Figure 1). This is different from syncing with EPIM Cloud, which has also been enhanced. The backup stores the entire database for recovery, whereas syncing allows you to select which data to mesh across devices.

Here's what's new:

  • Improved support for task hierarchy when synchronizing your data with EPIM Cloud
  • Fixed a couple of errors that occurred during direct synchronization of AEPIM with the Windows version of EPIM
  • Bug fixes and other minor improvements

Enjoy improved functionality for managing multiple accounts, now extended to notes and contacts. Synchronize seamlessly across different online services for ultimate convenience.

Here's what's new in this version:

  • Improved synchronization of custom contact fields with WinEPIM
  • Fixed synchronization of tasks with EPIM Cloud (please remember to synchronize the “EPIM Cloud” list)
  • Enhanced performance and improved stability

I am new to sticky notes, even though EssentialPIM introduced them in 2008 and I began using EPIM three years earlier.

I resisted digital stickies because they cluttered the screen, but they have evolved through the years into less invasive, helpful organizers and I use them regularly.

In this post, we'll look at what some users say is their favorite feature of EPIM. While researching, I discovered that certain shortcomings which some reported have been resolved.

We are thrilled to announce the release of EssentialPIM version 11.5.3! This latest update brings a host of enhancements that aim to make your experience with the app even better. Here are some of the notable improvements:

  • Enhanced Responsiveness during Search: We have optimized EPIM to be more responsive while a search is running in the background. Now, you can seamlessly navigate through your data while the search process continues.
  • Improved Synchronization with iCloud: This means smoother and more reliable syncing of your data across devices, ensuring that you always have the latest information at your fingertips.
  • Enhanced Highlighting of Search Results: When searching through plain text emails, we have improved the highlighting of found results. This makes it easier than ever to locate the exact information you're looking for within your email correspondence.
  • Persistent Order of Calendar and Tasks Accounts: We have addressed an issue where the order of calendar and tasks accounts was not remembered between EPIM restarts.
  • Improved Grouping in Detailed View: In the tasks module, the detailed view now displays the grouping of items as expected.
  • Various Optimizations and Bug Fixes: These improvements ensure a smoother and more reliable experience across the app.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of EssentialPIM 11.5.1. This latest version offers enhanced features designed to improve user experience and productivity, as well as several bug fixes, stability enhancements, and interface improvements.

One of the features added in the new version is the "Paste as Plain Text" option for canned responses. The synchronization of recurring events with Microsoft 365 and recurring tasks with Toodledo has also been improved. If you're someone who likes to stay organized and on top of your tasks, you'll love EssentialPIM's Smart Lists feature. With four different dynamically and automatically populated lists to choose from - All, Important, Flagged, and Completed - you can quickly and easily access the corresponding tasks in a more efficient and effective way than ever before.

The previous post got us thinking about EssentialPIM as a tool for managing our digital assets, such as documents; inventories of our book, video, and photo collections; details about online accounts and accessing them, etc.

EPIM is not Digital Asset Management (DAM) software per se, but we'll continue to see how it performs three broad functions of DAM. Keeping information secure and private is one task which you can read about here. In this post, we'll review the other two functions: access and organization.
