New backup and sync options for EPIM Cloud

EPIM Cloud has been added to the online services for backing up your database (Figure 1). This is different from syncing with EPIM Cloud, which has also been enhanced. The backup stores the entire database for recovery, whereas syncing allows you to select which data to mesh across devices.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of EssentialPIM 11.5.1. This latest version offers enhanced features designed to improve user experience and productivity, as well as several bug fixes, stability enhancements, and interface improvements.

One of the features added in the new version is the "Paste as Plain Text" option for canned responses. The synchronization of recurring events with Microsoft 365 and recurring tasks with Toodledo has also been improved. The previous post got us thinking about EssentialPIM as a tool for managing our digital assets, such as documents; inventories of our book, video, and photo collections; details about online accounts and accessing them, etc.

EPIM is not Digital Asset Management (DAM) software per se, but we'll continue to see how it performs three broad functions of DAM. Keeping information secure and private is one task which you can read about here. In this post, we'll review the other two functions: access and organization.
